Announcement - Lala Huseynbeyova has joined Gottex

•Lala has recently become part of the team at Gottex, and she has background in originating, advising, and placing the deals in high-yield and alternative credit. Her previous experience includes capital markets, structured and fixed income products for financial institutions and corporates.

•Prior to Gottex, Lala worked for a number of financial institutions, she holds a master degree in engineering as well as in business administration.

Jonatan
Gonn

Jonatan joined Gottex Group in 2019 as Head of Fixed Income and Board Director after the acquisition of the leading fixed income broker RP Martin (Stockholm), where he was the CEO.

Jonatan has been working in the fixed income markets since 2009 in Amsterdam, Stockholm and London trading the Nordic markets.

He maintains strong investor relations in high yield and private credit in the Nordics and UK.

Prior to 2009, Jonatan worked for a real estate advisory firm and holds a BA Hons degree in finance.

Harms

As Head of Swiss Derivatives and a member of the Executive Committee, Jan promotes Gottex Brokers’ Swiss Rates, Forward Foreign Exchange, and Cash Deposit business. With over 25 years of experience in interdealer broking, Jan prides himself on providing an excellent personal service to clients, while leading a successful local business.

Jan started his career at what is now known as TPIcap Group, working for Astley & Pearce as a Junior Broker in Zürich, followed by two years in London with Tullett Prebon (Futures & Options, LIFFE) and then Harlow Butler where he focused on Deutschmark Interest Rates.

Shortly afterwards, Jan spent two years back in Zürich at ICAP Exco CMS Zurich (Broker Swissfranc rates) before returning to London for an 18-year stint in the City at ICAP, where he was a desk director for Swiss Franc Interest Rate Derivatives. Finally, Jan decided to move back home to Switzerland and joined Gottex Brokers in 2018.

As the Head of Swiss Franc Interest Rate Derivatives at Gottex, Jan works tirelessly to consistently provide the high level of service our clients expect of us, and looks forward to driving the company’s growth in the years ahead.

After graduating from Military School in 2003, Glim started as an officer in the Swedish Military Armed Forces. After two years, he was promoted to Lieutenant.

His commanding leadership skills on and off the battlefield, led him to a financial career as a Scandi broker at R.P. Martin in Stockholm, trading in Fixed income, Mortgage bonds and Swedish interest rate derivatives.

In 2010, he joined Gottex Brokers at the company’s headquarters in Lausanne, where he boosted the expansion and success of the Scandinavian desk.

In 2015 he was promoted to Managing Director where he returned to Stockholm to head up the company’s first Scandinavian office. As overall head of the Scandinavian markets and a member of the Executive Committee, Glim has been at the helm of growing his team as the markets primary Scandinavian broker.

Nicholson

Tim made the move from banking to the broking world in 2010, joining the Cross-Currency Desk at Gottex, a team he helped establish and now leads.

He has been a driver in the push towards an evolution of financial products to best hedge our customers’ needs, and to facilitate with the risk management of clients. Tim was a part of the Swiss National Bank’s SARON National Working Group, and has played a prominent role in the cementing of Gottex and its product offering throughout a period of ongoing regulatory and benchmark reform.

As a both a broker and the head of the Cross-Currency Desk, Tim has built on his strong technical foundation and a rare understanding of his market, and combined this with a drive for smooth execution and a fervent belief in the full customer service experience.

He has guided his team into a space of new products, while gaining the endorsement of an expanding client base.

Prior to joining Gottex Brokers in 2016, Marius gained more than two decades of valuable banking experience primarily as a portfolio manager and trader in the Norwegian interest rates, currency and fixed income products for SEB Markets, Danske Bank and Sparebank 1 Markets in Oslo and in London.

Marius has brought his all-round sales and trading experience to Gottex, adding to the growth of the Scandinavian business.

His contribution has enhanced a thriving activity in Scandinavia, whereby Gottex emerged as the first Norwegian domestic broker based in Oslo.

Brendan
Downes

Brendan has gained more than forty years of diverse investment banking experience, working as a trader and broker for several interdealer broking houses and trading companies, primarily within the bullion markets based in London, Zurich, and Dubai.

Originating from the United Kingdom, Brendan moved to Switzerland in 2009 and spent ten years working at Prebon Premex in Zurich and a further two and a half years working in Dubai establishing a bullion desk for Market Securities.

He joined Gottex Brokers at the end of 2022, to lay a foundation by creating the company’s first bullion and precious metals desk in our Horgen office based in Zurich.

He brings his experience and expertise to the company by providing diversity to the commodities and product offering which Gottex presents to an expanding international client base.
